I BELIEVE

I want to declare openly to everyone that I believe in God, and I believe Jesus died for the sins of myself and all the world.  God also has his best for you and your life as well.  My hope is that everyone who is listening to me would come to the knowledge of the saving power of Jesus Christ and that you would make him not only your Savior, but the Lord of your life.

So what does it mean to make Jesus the "Lord of your Life".  It is very simple..in essence it is saying that I am no longer the ruler of the directions/decisions/thoughts/emotions/behaviors, but I give the ownership of these things to Jesus.  Jesus, you are in the driver's seat of what I say and what I do, and I am no longer going to live for myself, but my life now belongs to you.  I am your servant, and you are my master.  

God's plan for you is perfect.  It is time to turn from the your own flawed ways, and turn to His ways which are perfect.  Make Jesus the Lord and Savior of your life today, and become a child of God.


And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved. As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.” Jew and Gentile are the same in this respect. They have the same Lord, who gives generously to all who call on him. For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

  The other day I was out mowing the yard, and my two sons were playing in the yard as they typically do.   I was listening to my favorite mowing playlist with my wireless Bluetooth noise reducing headphones.   I like listening to my Amazon playlist through my phone while I mow the yard.   It gives me some time to reflect on some awesome songs that magnify God.   My son Jacob noticed this and wanted to see what it would be like to wear his daddy’s headphones and listen to the tunes.   I put on my headphones on my son. Hovering over the Waters--Genesis 1:2

 The other day I was speaking to the girls about baptism and what makes it such an important event in the life of a believer.  As I was thinking of baptism and stories about water, I felt God directing my thoughts to a scripture in the beginning of the Bible that I never linked to baptism before.  Bear with me, this may be a bit of a stretch, but I believe God likes to stretch our thoughts and reveal new things to us using his word. Genesis 1:2 The earth was  without form, and void; and darkness  was  on the face of the deep.  And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Steal, Kill and Destroy vs. Give, Live, and Create

  The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have  it  more abundantly. - John 10:10 John 10:10 gives us a very clear idea of the agenda of the Kingdom of God vs. the Kingdom of the enemy.  We can assume from reading about the agenda of the thief ( enemy ) that the agenda of God would be directly opposite.  Lets take each action and compare the agenda of both.
